Bring A Trailer is hosting this rare 1993 Ferrari 512 TR in classic Ferrari Rosso Corsa paint.

The Ferrari Testarossa was once an underrated sports car, but soon became a legend. In 1992, Ferrari launched a re-engineered version of the sports car -- the 512 TR, with the letters referring to its original name. Here’s a chance to own a piece of the legend, as a 1993 Ferrari 512 TR is now for sale at Bring A Trailer.

One of the 408 examples of the 512 TR sold in North America between 1992 and 1994, this 1993 Ferrari 512 TR now resides in Connecticut but does not have a title, since the state doesn’t issue titles for a vehicle of its age. The owner is selling the 512 TR on its registration in California. Throughout its life, this 1993 Ferrari 512 TR neither met any accident nor sustained any damage.

Rated at 422 hp of max output when new, its 4.9-liter 12-cylinder motor received an engine-out service in March 2020, which included installation of new belts, gaskets, seals, and spark plugs. The service also included a rebuild of the water pump and the addition of fresh fluids. Boasting a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, this 512 also has its factory exhaust system refitted.

Finished in Rosso Corsa exterior color, this 1993 Ferrari 512 TR has color-matched bumpers, a black rear grille, side strakes, dual side-view mirrors, and pop-up headlights. Its right rocker panel underwent repair and re-painting in March 2020, and the car received new fog light lenses a month after.

This 512 TR rides on 18″ alloy wheels shod with 235/40 front and 295/35 rear Continental ExtremeContact tires (installed April 2020). Four-piston brake calipers over cross-drilled rotors provide the stopping power, and the system received fresh brake fluid in March 2020.

Inside, this 1993 Ferrari 512 TR comes loaded with bucket seats in tan Connolly leather with a matching lower dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Cabin equipment include air conditioning (serviced in 2020), a Sony cassette stereo, power windows, motorized seat belts, as well as a gated shifter with a dogleg first gear. The leather instrument panel surround shows wear.

The sports car features a three-spoke steering wheel, a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,300-rpm redline, as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. The odometer shows the 512 TR has travelled just under 13,000 miles, with the current owner driving around 2,000 miles of the number.
